Exciting opportunity with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in the Cath Lab! This lab is a multidisciplinary lab, working with a variety of service lines in addition to diagnostic cardiac procedures. Our procedures include angiogram, bronchoscopy, bone marrow harvest, L/R heart caths, fistulagram, insertion of IVC filters/loop records, and renal biopsies. The incumbent in this position will assist with all invasive cardiovascular procedures.

Required Education/Training:
  • Associate's degree; BS preferred.
  • EKG/hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) or Registered Radiology Tech (RT) required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of six months as a Cardiovascular Technologist.
  • Additional vascular exposure desirable or similar/related job experience.
  • Current knowledge and techniques in cath lab.
  • Knowledge of cardiology meds, EKG monitoring and starting IVs.
  • Must be able to act quickly and remain calm in stressful and emergency situations.
