Position Description. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences, the Lecturer/Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator duties include clinical, classroom, laboratory, and online teaching responsibilities as assigned, as well as, student advising and presence at recruiting activities on and off campus. The position is a fiscal year (12 month) appointment. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
 
Required Qualifications:
          For the Assistant Professor tenure-track appointment, the applicant must have an earned doctoral degree in science, health professions, or education closely related to the Cardiovascular Interventional Science field by June 1, 2018.
          For the non-tenure track Lecturer appointment, the applicant must have an earned master’s degree, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in a science, health professions, or education in a discipline closely related to Cardiovascular Interventional Science.
          Must have active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credentials by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) qualifications, with at least 3 years hands-on experience in invasive cardiology and peripheral vascular procedures (the invasive cardiology and peripheral vascular procedures experience must be within the last two years); academic transcript will have evidence of academic course credit in imaging, radiation protection, and radiobiology.
          Current, active American Heart Association basic and advanced life support (BLS and ACLS).
          Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment without assistance from the institution.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
          Experience and expertise in neurovascular interventional procedures, electrophysiology laboratory experience/credentials (RCES), with experience and expertise in structural heart.
          Active RCIS credentialed candidate with the following ARRT credentials: RT(R), RT(CV), RT(CI), and RT(VI).
          Teaching experience with high-fidelity simulations, and virtual learning environments.
